Sand Valley Golf Resort is a resort 53 hole golf facility open to the public located in Nekoosa, Wisconsin. The resort has two championship 18-hole golf courses, they are The Sand Valley Golf Course and The Mammoth Course. Additionally, the resort has a par-3, 17-hole course, The Sandbox.
The Sandbox Golf Course first opened in 2017. The course was designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw.
The 17-hole Sandbox Golf Course at Sand Valley is located just 50 yards from the Clubhouse and just outside the Dunes Lodge. The Sandbox plays through a restored sand prairie that sits within the same V-shaped sand ridge that frames Mammoth Dunes.
With holes ranging from 40 to 140 yards, the short course features the most unique green complexes on the property, including a biarritz, double plateau, lion’s mouth, and a redan.
The course is a great warm-up for either of the two championship courses. The Sandbox will test your distance control and putting abilities.
The course plays to a 17 hole par of 51 and a maximum distance of 1,652 yards.
